Synopsis
A city floating in consciousness, or a nameless cityscape, the scene always appears when he stares out distantly, like a city of dots that somehow feels comfortable. People appear like plants, or seem unrecognizable as if they are wearing masks. At times, he works up the courage and almost wants to speak to someone, but he doesn't want to embarrass himself. It seems that only those who wear masks can keep up their interpersonal relationships. He decides to stay still so that no one will notice him. Reality becomes visible only when he convinces himself that he is not there at all.
Purpose
The city of Seoul is constantly moving. We fit together like gears that keep the city in motion. The dots meet in the virtual world—a point cloud as dense as dust yet as light as a phantom. Departing from the boundless universe of data, we set our foot on one narrow street of Seoul. It feels even smaller than a dot. We may appear to be lonely beings that stand in the middle of the city, lost, without any inclination of where to go or how to get to another place. Whether our hearts beat with happiness, loneliness, or hastiness, each of us takes on a different shape.
