Synopsis
There is a barren world hidden inside a camera where a child is locked away. Fear overwhelms the child, and the only way to escape it is to hide inside a box. A little light enters through the wall of the box. Using imagination, the child invents a game with the rays of the sun. Being lonely is tiresome, but the child keeps playing the game with the rays of light, and the box becomes full of memories. But things start changing once the child becomes a grown-up.
Purpose
The child’s barren world represents my special place under my desk. It reminds me of my childhood experiences and losses. The camera needs the sun and the darkness to catch the light. My special place is where I feel protected, so it has to be small and shady. A place of our own is sometimes lonely and boring, but the imagination never leaves me alone. I can paint that empty space with my colors, and it becomes a story. It turns out to be a vast and bright room in the end. When I grew up, I could not go inside that special place anymore. Sometimes, the nostalgia follows me around, but in an instant, I start looking for a new special place where I can begin a new story.
