Synopsis
In 1923, Young-suk graduated from Ewha Women’s School and left for China to study. Despite her family’s opposition, she prolonged her academic career with a thirst for learning and a firm will to help Korea. Finally, she majored in economics at Stockholm University, so she was the first Korean to receive a bachelor’s degree in economics. However, despite her firm will to work for her home country, when she came back to Korea, it wasn’t easy for Young-suk to find a job.
Purpose
Remember Young-suk CHOI (1906~1932), not from the rumors and gossip, but as a protagonist of a life that was dedicated to confronting the times.
