Synopsis
Xander was curious about the taste of gimbap after he saw it in a video call with his Korean girlfriend Dabin.
Then one day, he got an invitation to Penpal Kitchen, a virtual kitchen where he could finally cook it for himself...
Purpose
Penpal Kitchen is a narrative VR game about cooking, Korea, and love.
Over the years, more and more people have been choosing to use the internet to keep up with friendships and relationships, and with COVID-19 this turned from a choice into a necessity.
With Penpal Kitchen, we wanted to return a spark of warmth to the distance this can so often make us feel, by telling our own story as a long-distance international couple.
