Synopsis
Love is in the air in Pale Creek, where young Oscar has a crush on his neighbor Epona. Hoping to impress her, Oscar tries to make his pet fish 'Chilli' the coolest pet in town but faces a "huge" problem.
Will he be able to win her heart?
Purpose
The lone protagonist learns how to communicate better through experiencing friction between him and his little companion.' The intention behind this story was to depict conflict more casually by including likable animal characters, countering its usual portrayal as a weighty subject. The ultimate goal for this film was to create a casual cartoon-styled animation full of lively character action. Achieving the intended style involved various challenging techniques, such as combining traditional 2D animation with stylized textures and overlaying screen tones onto rendered 3D images.
