Synopsis
After living with a hole in my meninges for 10 years, I felt that there was a passage through which thoughts passed between my head and my meninges.
Purpose
The Producer of this animation suffered from a disease called ‘spontaneous intracranial hypotension’ which is caused by a hole in the meninges from 2011 to 2022, and came to view the disease as an anatomical structure. Considering that the head and spinal cord is anatomically connected and the cerebrospinal fluid is surrounding the meninges, producer imagined that there was a passage through which thoughts passed between them. Through this, producer set up circumstances in which the feelings of anger caused by the disease starting from the Brain to meninges. The emotions of these absurd thoughts were captured about 2,300 frames using a oil paint on acrylic sheet.
