Synopsis
The main character, who works alone on a spacecraft, overcomes loneliness by contacting his only friend who works as an astronaut. However, from some point on, inferior words fly from his friend, and the main character looks at it and is worried that the relationship with his friend will be broken...
Purpose
Using the visual motif of a fraying red thread, the film portrays the unhealthy dynamic between a friend who seeks empathy only for their own struggles and a protagonist who relies on that friend. The protagonist finds clarity through the Earth, a symbol of connections previously overlooked. The film conveys the message that by broadening our horizons, we open ourselves to discovering more meaningful relationships around us.
