Synopsis
Inside the steel mill, deafening conveyor belts and endless processes roar on. Amid this massive industry, a system works to create tireless steel humans that won’t burn out. But the scorching heat dries the land so much that even blood evaporates. Artificial rain is introduced, and as raindrops soak the earth, bizarre life forms begin to emerge.
Purpose
Last year, I had many opportunities to encounter the massive industrial structures located in Ulsan and Dangjin. Based on what I felt and experienced, I created a 3D animation reflecting on the relationship between humans, industry, labor, and artificiality and the burdens individuals must bear in an industrialized society.
