Synopsis
In a world where everyone wears masks, the protagonist, Peter, is the only one without one. However, under the pressure of stares and judgments from the masked people, he is forced to abandon his individuality and put on a mask (losing his identity). In order to survive within the crowd, Peter conforms. But is this truly the path to happiness for Peter?
Purpose
I believe there are many masks and deceptions in the world in which we live. To survive and adapt to this world, some people must sacrifice what makes them unique. I wanted to tell the story of these “minorities.” The main character ultimately ends up in a mask. That could be me, my friend, or my family. I often thought about my own anxiety and my current self which I didn’t want to lose.
