Synopsis
Yujin accidentally breaks her glasses and visits an optician for a new pair. During an eye exam, she sees a small house in the middle of a field and suddenly finds herself inside it. There, she moves through three rooms, each containing a shadow version of herself. One by one, she faces and reconciles with these hidden parts she had long rejected. Through this quiet journey, she gains a new perspective and begins to grow. She leaves the house and receives a new pair of glasses.
Purpose
Everyone carries an inner child within them. Like a shadow, it always lingers nearby, yet we often fail to recognize its presence. Living unaware of it, we eventually encounter this child in the darker corners of our lives. For the protagonist, Yujin, the inner child represents her unconscious mind. It is the space where suppressed emotions, wounds, and complexes gather, manifesting as shadows. This story symbolizes how facing and reconciling with these shadows leads to a new perspective. Using the space within the eye examination lens, I aim to create a story where Yujin confronts and makes peace with her own shadows.
