Synopsis
Her friends gave up their dreams and left. But Jiguem, the protagonist still keeps her dream. As people’s sneer and her anxiety become bigger, she comes to fall into another dream which is different with one in reality. She realizes that it is useless just dreaming something, and wakes up from the dream. Facing reality, Jiguem is standing and grabbing a broken rubber band as she becomes an adult.
Purpose
When we are young, our elders tell us that we should have dreams. But when we grow up, we get scolded that we are still dreaming. In the conflicts between dreams and reality, where are we and where should we go? It is a rite of passage that everyone experiences once during a lifetime. I pictured the conflict between what I want to do and my reality, containing my confusion and my future. Since everyone has different dreams, the film closes in an open-ended way.
