Synopsis
A boy receives a wooden chair from his father. When the boy becomes an old man, he suffers the same disease as his father which slowly turns him into a tree. Unable to stop this transformation, he searches for his father who has already become a tree.
Purpose
When I see an old man, I am reminded of the word “tree.” I made this short animation to show the appearance of an old man with tough skin and an uncomfortable face. I believe it is natural that a human being returns to nature when his or her life ends, turning into soil and then perhaps a tree.
