Synopsis
Six year old Sol’s mom is pregnant and one fine day in October near the due date, Sol has a dream of her mom and a fairy asking Sol to get strawberries. After parting with her mother in front of her kindergarten, Sol sets out to find strawberries. She aims to get strawberries at the grocery store but meets the fairy from her dreams and goes on a fantastical adventure, picking strawberries at a local greenhouse with the fairy. After being caught red-handed by the owner, Sol gets picked up by her father who takes her to see her mom in the hospital. With strawberries in hand, Sol greets her new sibling, whose face is uncannily like the fairy’s.
Purpose
I've always adored little children’s lively imagination, which changes every little thing into a game or an adventure. The scene of a crayon breaking represents the end of the child's fantasy, which is as free as a drawing on a sketchbook.
