Synopsis

Dante is appointed as Gregorio Cathedral’s new priest. At the cathedral, there are many sinners whose bodies swell up because of their sins, and they try to recover their normal bodies. Dante takes the place of the senior priest and hears the confessions of the sinners, but he finds that his own body is swelling up. His body gets bigger as he hears the confessions, and eventually his fat body blows up the confessional booth. With help from the senior priest, Dante returns to his normal self, but the god's body swells up after taking in all the sins.

Purpose

The theme of the “Confession” came from Dante’s Purgatorio of the Divine Comedy, an Italian epic in which “Purgatory” is a place where people purge their sins and become ready for Heaven. We compared “Purgatory” to the “confessional” at a Catholic church. Recently, a growing number of people commit crimes without feeling any remorse while other people who are not directly involved have to pay the price for the crimes. We tried to describe this ironic situation in a humorous and dramatic way.
