Synopsis
A Korean girl is living in France. It seems that she speaks French fluently and she lives an ordinary life. But one day, a French person’s innocent comment makes this girl freeze and her ordinary life crashes down.
Purpose
In the eyes of westerners, people from the east will always look like “foreigners” no matter how much they adjust to the local culture and language. Even something as basic as asking for directions requires the locals to wonder if “this foreigner” is speaking their language in the first place. The short animation reveals the alienation that can be caused by such a simple question.
